In my fanciful little head, I like to imagine that Draco retained the ability to transform into this ferret (thus rendering him an unregistered Animagus). I also like to imagine that Harry teases him for it constantly, and Draco retaliates by leaping out of a pile of papers and biting Harry (after having transformed and snuck into his office) when Harry is least expecting it. Then, through many well-used tropes and cliches, they eventually fall into step with one another and end up living snarkily ever after in the renovated Malfoy Manor.
